Overview Deep within Death Valley Wilderness Area, Sidewinder Canyon is a moderately strenuous hike up a steep gravel wash to several amazing narrow slot canyons that cut into the walls of the main canyon. Presented here are photos of Slot Minus One. Slot -1 is the second side canyon encountered while hiking up the main wash. This side canyon is not particularly deep or narrow, but it provides a good scramble up the rocky canyon to a high pour-over that cannot be passed.
